A union contract is a legally binding agreement between a union and an employer that outlines the terms and conditions of employment. It can also be referred to as a collective bargaining agreement, labor agreement, or negotiated agreement. A collective bargaining agreement sets out the rights and responsibilities of both the employer and the union. Some other synonyms for union contract include labor contract, agreement between labor and management, workers' agreement and negotiated labor agreement. These terms essentially all refer to the same thing; a written contract established through collective bargaining that outlines the terms and conditions of employment between a union and an employer.
